They will establish their burrow close to the foundation of the house to ensure that it will remain stable. They will use soft materials such as leaves and grass when lining their home. The burrow of the skunk will usually contain at least 3 chambers. It will also have multiple entrances that will give them different ways to escape.

Why Do Skunks Survive in the Urban Jungle?

The Villages skunks can survive in the urban area due to the adequate source of food. Living close to human will allow them to gain an easy access to their food. They will eat almost anything edible that can be found in our trash. Apart from that, they can also dig insects and grubs that can be found all over our yard. Water source is also abundant in the urban city. Apart from that, the minimum presence of the predators allows them to thrive in the urban community. If they do not invade the human property, it is highly unlikely that they will cause conflict.
